Integration allows RoofLogic and RoofCAD Customers Direct Access to BuildSite’s Roofing Product Database

Las Vegas, NV (February 16, 2011)—True North Estimating and BuildSite have partnered to launch True North Product Search at the 2011 International Roofing Expo®, available immediately at www.rooflogic.com/BuildSite. True North Product Search will be part of True North’s RoofLogic and RoofCAD applications and will act as an integrated single source for product and technical information for True North customers.

“This integration gives our customers easy access to product data,” said Rob Minialoff, President of True North Estimating. “RoofLogic customers now have BuildSite's extensive manufacturer and materials database right at their fingertips.”

True North Product Search will access a database powered by BuildSite. This database is also accessible through the Roofing Industry Product Center offered by the National Roofing Contractors Association. Roofing and waterproofing contractors can enter search terms by manufacturer name, roofing product category, or ASTM specification to pull results from hundreds of manufacturers within the database. Once selected, each individual product has a detail page with links to product data, MSDS, installation details, and more. Users can also enter a U.S. zip code or Canadian postal code to access a database of over 800 building product distributors.

RoofLogic and RoofCAD users will also have the option of registering to use BuildSite Submittals, a software as a service (SaaS) offering, which provides online templates for product data and LEED® submittals. Electronic submittals allow data to flow easily into project management software and Building Information (BIM) Models.
